British International School of Casablanca

Academic Overview

At The British International School Casablanca, we believe very strongly that studying a broad-based curriculum is still the best way to prepare young people for the modern world.

Cambridge Curriculum

At the British International School of Casablanca, we proudly follow the Cambridge Curriculum, which is interwoven with key aspects taken from the UK National Curriculum.

Our aim is to create a seamless blend of traditional, laced with the contemporary and firmly believe that the fundamental subjects of Mathematics, Science, English, and Humanities should form the backbone of a comprehensive and modern education.

This approach ensures that all our students gain a solid foundation of essential knowledge and key skills, and so prepare them for success in the rapidly ever-changing world.

Tradition and Modernity

As with most other British schools, we put a greater focus on the traditional subjects of Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities – by focusing on these core areas, students can build a solid educational foundation that will help them later in life. However, we also seek to embrace contemporary changes seen within the curriculum, which is why you will also find subjects such as Computer Science, Coding, Robotics and Economics on offer.

As an International School we also place a strong emphasis on learning languages, and this is why we offer French, Arabic and Spanish to all our students. We firmly believe that language learning is excellent for the mind, as well as for developing our students’ sense of their place in a constantly evolving world.

Expressive arts and design

Exploring and using media and materials:

children sing songs, make music and dance, and experiment with ways of changing them. They safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.

Being imaginative:

children use what they have learnt about media and materials in original ways, thinking about uses and purposes. They represent their own ideas, thoughts and feelings through design and technology, art, music, dance, role-play and stories.
