School Uniform
School uniform is a very important part of British school culture. We believe that wearing a smart, formal uniform for school has many advantages. Wearing uniform creates a sense of pride in the school to which the pupils belong (esprit de corps), it communicates to pupils that work in school is serious and important and it means that pupils do not need to be distracted by fashion as they dress each day.
Uniform for boys and girls in our school is as follows:

HAIR, MAKE-UP AND JEWELLERY
Girls
- Hair – should be cut in a conservative style so as not to draw attention.
- Make-up – should not be worn.
- Jewellery – should be limited to a few small, discreet items, for example, a wristwatch and one set of earrings (stud type).
Apart from one set of earrings for girls, body piercings are not allowed in school.
Pupils and parents should note that the school will exercise some discretion in deciding appropriate dress and haircuts for pupils in school. The Headmaster will take the final decision on what is acceptable for students.
Boys
- Hair – should be cut in a conservative style so as not to draw attention; boys should always be clean-shaven.
- Make-up – should not be worn.
- Jewellery – should be limited to a few, small, discreet items, for example, a wristwatch
Body piercings (including earrings) are not allowed in school.
Pupils and parents should note that the school will exercise some discretion in deciding appropriate dress and haircuts for pupils in school. The Headmaster will take the final decision on what is acceptable for students.
