About our curriculum:
- The curriculum takes account of the aptitudes and needs of pupils of all ages, including those with SEND and/or EAL.
- Pupils’ achievement is promoted through a well-balanced curriculum.
- The curriculum enables pupils to learn and make progress, and prepares them the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of life in both Moroccan and British society.
About our teaching:
- Teaching shows an understanding of pupils’ needs and abilities and demonstrates secure subject knowledge.
- The school utilises a wide range of approaches to foster application and interest.
- Pupils thrive when challenged.
How we manage behaviour:
- Strategies for managing behaviour in class are highly effective.
- Teaching does not discriminate against pupils due to their gender, ability, beliefs, disability, or race.
British Values:
- The school actively promotes the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance.
School values:
- Enables pupils to develop their self-knowledge, self-esteem, and self-confidence, to distinguish right from wrong and accept responsibility for their behaviour.
Leadership and Governance:
- School leaders and governors demonstrate good skills and knowledge and fulfil their responsibilities effectively, in order to meet the standards consistently. They actively promote the well-being of pupils.
- Academic Leadership monitor results carefully and strategies have been put in place to improve pupil performance.
The quality of pupils’ learning and achievement:
- Pupils in the Primary School make excellent progress, which is particularly rapid in EYFS and in Year 1 and 2.
- Progress in the Secondary School is rapid due to the well-structured support and modified lesson content.
- The iGCSE and A Level results show excellent progress. This is a significant achievement given the number of pupils that join the school with little or no English.
About how our pupils communicate:
- Pupils are highly effective in communication, despite English being the second or third language.
- From the earliest years, pupils make excellent progress in their English.
- Pupils maintain their own native language skills, achieving 100% pass rate at iGCSE & A Level in French, Spanish and Arabic.
About how our pupils learn:
- Pupils’ attitudes to learning are excellent; they are willing to work and have high aspirations.
- Pupils are well motivated and show considerable initiative and independence.
The quality of personal development:
- Pupils’ social development is excellent and display notable self-understanding and self- confidence.
- Pupils are self-confident, have high levels of self-esteem and so are conversely happy and confident with their peers and adults.
- Pupils have a well-developed moral sense, displaying excellent behaviour.
Cultural awareness and inclusion:
- The diverse community of pupils shows a profound sense of respect for one another.
- Pupils demonstrate high levels of sensitivity to each other’s cultures and traditions.
- Pupils deeply embedded spiritual understanding is very evident and exhibit great kindness towards each other.
